In the past, one had to attend film institutes or work for years as an assistant director to make a film. But today, thanks to the Internet age, anyone in any corner of the world, from a village in Chattisgarh to a bylane in Dharavi slum, with neither experience nor any access to the film industry, can also make a film. But the problem is in its showcasing. RGVtalkies has been created as an interactive medium to overcome this problem. RGVtalkies seeks to initiate passionate, aspiring filmmakers to make their films and release them on this platform.
The Foreigner is a short film that was made by a young girl named Taruna Khanagwal and I was amazed at her unique depiction of a thriller in an erotic dressing but so layered with Indian versus foreign culturalism.
Since it suited the philosophy of RGVtalkies, we properly packaged it and released it on our platform. Our advantage is we gain a good product and her advantage is that she will get a reach, a recognition and a possible feature film. Also there’s no binding contract; so if anybody sees this film and wants to approach her directly, they are free to do so on her e mail id, firstname.lastname@example.org
Like her, I would like any of you interested and aspiring film makers to mail your film to me at email@example.com but please remember that, only if it suits the sensibility of RGVtalkies, will it be released on this platform.
